Major tenants announced for the new shopping center near Target on Loudoun County Parkway

New restaurants and retailers are coming to Shops at Arcola near Aldie and South Riding, including Shake Shack, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant.

Big news for residents of Aldie, South Riding and southern Loudoun County: the long-planned Shops at Arcola shopping center has announced its first major tenants.

According to an October 29, 2026, report by The Burn, developer SJC Ventures has revealed a lineup that includes Shake Shack, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Tifa Chocolate & Gelato and several other businesses.

The new retail development is planned near the Target along Loudoun County Parkway, just north of Route 50.

And with an organic grocery store also in the plans, Shops at Arcola could become a major new shopping and dining destination for southern Loudoun County.

What Stores and Restaurants Are Coming to Shops at Arcola?

The first announced Shops at Arcola tenants include eight businesses offering restaurants, desserts, shopping and services.

New Restaurants at Shops at Arcola Near South Riding

Shake Shack: The popular burger chain known for burgers, crinkle-cut fries and frozen custard.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill: An upscale-casual restaurant serving wood-fired steaks, seafood and American cuisine.

Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant: A restaurant and wine-tasting concept combining contemporary American dining with an extensive wine program.

Tifa Chocolate & Gelato: A specialty dessert shop offering handcrafted chocolates and gelato.

For residents searching for new restaurants near South Riding and Aldie, this is a particularly exciting lineup.

Cooper's Hawk had already been associated with the development, but the addition of Shake Shack, Firebirds and Tifa significantly expands the dining options planned for the center.

Other Shops at Arcola Tenants Announced

The development will also include:

Woof Gang Bakery: Specialty pet products, treats and services.

Inspire Nail Bar: Nail care and beauty services.

Lafayette Federal Credit Union: Banking and financial services.

Heartland Dental: A dental practice location.

The mix suggests Shops at Arcola is being designed as more than a restaurant destination, with everyday services that could make it convenient for residents to combine errands, shopping and dining.

Where Is Shops at Arcola Located in Loudoun County?

Shops at Arcola is planned near Loudoun County Parkway and Dulles West Boulevard, just north of Route 50 in Loudoun County, Virginia.

The development is adjacent to the Target that opened in 2025 and across from the Dulles Landing shopping area.

Its location makes it especially convenient for residents of:

Aldie

South Riding

Stone Ridge

Arcola

Other communities along the Route 50 corridor

For residents who regularly shop at Target or Dulles Landing, the new development will add restaurants and retail options within an already familiar shopping area.

Is Whole Foods Coming to Shops at Arcola Near South Riding?

One of the biggest unanswered questions about Shops at Arcola involves its planned grocery store.

The development includes plans for an organic grocery store, and Whole Foods Market has been discussed as a possible tenant.

In earlier reporting, The Burn noted that developer SJC Ventures has a history of working with Whole Foods, fueling speculation that the grocery chain could be coming to this location.

However, Whole Foods has not been officially confirmed as a Shops at Arcola tenant.

Until the developer or grocery company announces the store's identity, residents should consider Whole Foods a possibility rather than a confirmed addition.

When Will Shops at Arcola Open Near Aldie and South Riding?

As of October 30, 2026, Shops at Arcola does not have a confirmed construction start date or opening date.

Earlier reporting by The Burn indicated that construction could begin in the first quarter of 2027, with some retailers potentially opening in early 2028.

Those dates remain tentative.

The October 29 tenant announcement is an important milestone, but it does not establish when construction will begin or when the announced businesses will open.

Additional tenants may also be announced as the project progresses.

How Shops at Arcola Will Change Shopping and Dining in South Riding and Aldie

The Route 50 corridor has experienced significant residential and commercial growth, but residents of Aldie and South Riding still travel to Ashburn, Leesburg, Fairfax and other communities for certain restaurants and shopping experiences.

The Shops at Arcola development could help bring more of those options closer to home.

With Shake Shack, Firebirds, Cooper's Hawk and Tifa Chocolate & Gelato in the announced lineup, residents will have several new dining choices in one location once the businesses open.

The addition of retail and everyday services could also make the area more convenient for households throughout southern Loudoun County.

What Does New Retail Development Mean for Aldie and South Riding Real Estate?

As a local real estate agent serving Aldie, South Riding and surrounding Northern Virginia communities, I pay close attention to developments like Shops at Arcola.

When buyers consider where to live, they evaluate much more than the homes themselves.

Nearby restaurants, grocery stores, shopping centers, parks and other amenities contribute to the overall appeal and convenience of a community.

While a new shopping center doesn't automatically translate into higher home values, access to desirable amenities can be one of several factors that influence a buyer's neighborhood preferences.

That's one reason the continued commercial growth around Loudoun County Parkway and Route 50 is worth watching.

What Other Stores Could Open at Shops at Arcola?

The newly announced tenants may be only the beginning.

According to The Burn's October 29 report, plans for Shops at Arcola show as many as 17 additional retail spaces without announced tenants.

That leaves room for more restaurants, shops and service businesses as leasing progresses.

The biggest questions still to be answered include the identity of the organic grocery store, additional tenants, the construction schedule and the anticipated opening dates.

I'll continue following the development and sharing updates as more information becomes available.
